who runs Scouting?

Everyone in our group is an adult volunteer, and the majority of us are parents wanting to provide more for our kids. Scouting allows us to do this and allows us access to campsites and great value activities. Definitely something to consider. 

All our leaders (who like you, are parent volunteers too) have undergone training and criminal records checks, and when we provide “adventurous activities” we will either use externally qualified people, or our own leaders with appropriate qualifications.

This group is run by volunteers and we are always on the look out for more volunteers to make it easier for the group. 

We almost had to close in a few years ago due to poor response and had to desperately ask one of the other Scout group’s leader to help out. 

Children feel proud of their parents when they volunteer. So if you want make a difference to their lives; to learn something new and to take part in activities that you never thought you would in your life, then get in touch! 

I can promise you one thing… It will be fun and adventurous for all in many ways (adults included).
